As much as I love the landscapes and nature within Scotland, the weather is usually a constant disappointment. The skies were a boring white overcast on this particular day with downpours of rain. We took a trip up to one of my favourite locations I have visited many times now, The Hermitage in Dunkeld, Perthshire; big tree county.
I've been after a shot of the Black Linn falls here for a long time since
first visiting them. Every time I visit, the conditions are either not on my side or I can't seem to find a good spot to capture them in the way I would like. I found what looked like an ideal spot, so after taking some brave pills and carefully climbing down the muddy banks of the falls while clinging on to trees with all my camera gear I came away with this image. The noise and spray from these falls are amazing when your up close and personal and I look forward to getting back to this same spot in autumn when the colours change from bright green to bright yellow and orange.FOLLOW AND KEEP UP TO DATE WITH ALL MY TRAVELS AND PHOTOGRAPHY ON FACEBOOK
