Hello, my name is Philip (but you may call me Phil), I am 20 years of age, and I am from Bonnie Scotland in the UK.

I currently shoot with a Canon EOS 450D with the EF-S 18-55mm IS kit lens, Sigma 10-20mm, and a Sigma 70-300mm APO Macro Super DG lens. Photoshop CS4 is my processing software of choice, thank you Adobe.

I have been interested in the photography medium for a long time, but only just started seriously with my first camera in February 2009. I aspire to capture the true beauty in our small planet Earth, and share with the rest of the world what strikes me in the moment.
I mainly shoot landscapes, waterscapes, and everything to do with nature. At the same time, I love to experiment, and try new things.

Hey all, just a quick journal before I head to bed as that's another weekend over. Back to work tomorrow, oh the joy!

Had a great weekend, was celebrating my good friends 21st birthday on Saturday, and watched the Haye vs Valuev fight - well done Haye on beating the beast from the East! Awakening the Sunday morning with a bit of a headache, I looked outside to sunshine. This was a good feeling, as we haven't seen much of it here lately. I then knew there was going to be a photographic opportunity in store, which finished off the weekend nicely.

This is the result of the beautiful light from today, I hope you all enjoy...

I would also like to announce that I ordered my new UWA lens, which should be arriving in the next day, or two. I went for the Sigma 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6 as I've heard, and read nothing but good things about this lens. I can't wait to finally shoot at 10mm, and with the better quality piece of glass than the kit lens I've been using since I got my camera!

I think that's about all I wanted to mention for now. I hope everyone has had a great weekend also? And another big thank you to all my new watchers, and everyone who has supported my work, I appreciate every second of your time!!
